Frank Müller

Frank Müller holds board certification in Orthopedic Surgery, as well as certifications in Osteopathy, Osteoporosis, Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine, and Acupuncture.

He lectures worldwide and has served on the boards of the Osteopathic International Alliance, the European Register of Osteopathic Physicians (EROP), and the Deutsch American Academy of Osteopathy (DAAO), and the International Affairs Committee of the American Academy of Osteopathy. He is the immediate past-president of the EROP.

In addition to his main areas of focus above, Herr Müller has certified training in Diving Medicine, Ultrasound, and Emergency Medicine. He successfully completed the International Proficiency Exam of the Osteopathic Cranial Academy and has completed certification programs for Pediatric and Cranial Osteopathy through the DAAO. Although he no longer performs operations personally, he maintains relationships with highly-qualified surgeons and can refer when appropriate.

Herr Müller has special interest in Sports Medicine and has served as the team physician for multiple professional women’s and men’s hockey teams, including the German National Women’s Hockey Team. He was honored to be selected as part of the general medical team for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

He is licensed as a trainer in rehabilitation sport, with special education through the German Association for Sports Medicine and Prevention as “Doctor in the Fitness and Health Studio.”

Herr Müller is a co-author of Lehrbuch Osteopathische Medizin (Editors: Johannes Mayer, Clive Standen), having written chapters on the treatment of the shoulder from both an orthopedic and an osteopathic perspective.

Herr Müller speaks fluent English and native German.

Dr. (U.S.) Leah Frank

Dr. Leah Frank is a United States-trained physician, who graduated from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine at A.T. Still University and is board-certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She has been active in osteopathic education throughout her career, having completed an academic fellowship in Osteopathic Theory and Methods, coordinated and served on faculty for Percussion Hammer courses and initiated Resident-Track programming at the American Academy of Osteopathy Convocation, as well as receiving a faculty title at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine due to her frequent student lectures. She now teaches with the German-American Academy of Osteopathy (DAAO) and the Society of Physicians for Manual Therapy of the Spine and Extremities (MWE) at the Dr. Karl Sell Ärzteseminar school.

Dr. Frank has served on several committees within the American Academy of Osteopathy, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and the Osteopathic Cranial Academy. Her current activites include serving on the founding working group for the International Consortium on Manual Therapies and the Advisory Board for the German-American Academy of Osteopathy. Her specialized training areas include Osteopathy in the Cranial Field and Fulford’s Percussion Hammer. She spent two years of her residency training in family medicine, supporting her interest in tying a person’s entire health system into their osteopathic treatment.

An athlete herself, Dr. Frank has experience in Sports Medicine and serves as the medical director for the North Coast 24 (the USA national championship of 24-Hour Ultramarathons) and One Day for the KIA (a fundraiser 12/24-Hour Ultramarathon to benefit the children of soldiers killed in action), and has been a part of the medical team for Team USA in the World Championship 24-Hour Ultramarathon in the past. She has also worked regularly with a professional hockey team and an amateur roller derby league, as well as with countless runners and triathletes in local races.

Additionally, she has special interest in working with pregnant women and babies, addressing issues such as constipation, heartburn, swelling, and back pain during and after pregnancy, as well as feeding difficulties in newborns.

Dr. Frank has published in the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association (now Journal of Osteopathic Medicine) and was an award winner for a poster presentation at a national conference for work on post-mastectomy lymphedema.

Dr. Frank speaks fluent German and native English.
